Path of Nene, ねねの道
Path of Nene is a lovely flagstone walkway stretches from Kodai-ji Temple to the entrance of Maruyama Park in Higashiyama area. The path is lined with structures, restaurants, and shops in traditional Kyoto style. Nene-no-Michi is was named from a lady Nene who was a wife of Shogun Toyotomi Hideyoshi. After he died, Nene established Kodai-ji Temple to pray for his soul. She lived in Entoku-in Temple in this area untill she passed away.
