Nishiki-ichiba Market, 錦市場

Nishiki-ichiba market is an arcade shopping marketplace in downtown Kyoto. The market streches about 400 meters on Nishikikoji-dori Street from west to East, between Teramachi-dori Street to Takakura-dori Street. The market is lined with more than one hundred shops mostly specialized in foods, such as seafoods, Kyoto vegetables, dried foods, Tsukemono pickles and Obanzai side dishes and more. It is called Kyoto's kitchen. Locals and tourists enjoy shopping at Nishiki-ichiba market along with the Shinkyogoku market and Teramachikyogoku market.
