How does it like to stay at Japanese style accommodation, Ryokan?

Ryokan is a type of traditional Japanese accommodation, which relatively very nice and quite expensive to stay. High quality ryokan offers upmost service with a heart of Japanese hospitality, "Omotenashi". Ryokan usually features tatami flooring guest rooms with futon flooring bedding, communal baths by gender, and other public areas. Modernized ryokan may offer Western style rooms as well as the tatami flooring rooms. Dinner and breakfast are usually included in the price of the room. (They may have meal exclusive plans too). Each ryokan promots their specialized Japanese cuisine dinner, and it will be served to the dining room or guest's indivisual rooms. They may have options for Western style meals for non Japanese guests. In the evening ryokan staffs do futon- making spreading futon for guests at guests room. It is usually done guests are out of their room for dinner, this service is from the Japanese hospitality, Omotenashi.

Minshuku is also a type of Japanese style accomocation which is more casual and family type compare to ryokan. Minshuku's guest rooms and meals are more casual with budgeted price. Minshuku may offer both meal included and excluded plans. Their rooms may be either tatami flooring or Western style depending to each minshuku. Since it is more casual, minshuku may not offer Yukata wear and meals are usually served at dining room.
